No, if you are selling your home the buyers are going to want that tank removed even if you have all the proper documentation from the township saying that it was filled in place properly. The reason for this is the fact that it’s not required to perform a soil test before you sand fill a tank. 50% of the people who filled their tanks in place actually filled a tank that was previously leaking. The inspection was done from a 2-foot by 2-foot hole cut in the top of the tank with no way of telling if the tank was leaking or not. Foam filled tanks are even worse because they’re not even cut open and cleaned so there’s no way to tell that tank was leaking or not before we still do some unless they perform their soil test.
